Polka dots and bows

26 Nov

Its been snowing here like crazy. But thankfully it stopped last night. The onset of this crazy cold weather that came last week, gave me the worst head cold on Friday and Saturday. But Saturday morning it was worse. I was so thankful my little one was willing to lay in bed all day saturday with me so I could rest. She is 2 and well she doesn’t sit still very long. But Netflix Kids kept her calm till nap time. By the end of the day I started feeling better. Hope Y’all have a great week filled with family and friends. Post will resume next week, starting with a Christmas decor post.

Happy Thanksgiving

Haven’t done much lately, its been so windy here. But its calming down now so back to blogging. Its hard to take pic when the wind is so bacd. I know I could have been blogging about all sorts of other stuff but I didn’t. Shame on me. Im working on it. I’ve blogged way more then I did last year for sure. Work in progress.

The days I get to wear my coat I love. I found this baby last year at TJ Maxx for under 30. The bow on the back and the ruffles on the front screamed buy me. This jacket will last me a long time. I have a black long pea coat from Guess but I could find it anywhere so I had to buy a new one. Then when we started packing up at the beginning of the year to move into our 1st home I found it. It will come in more handy on those extra cold winter days as its thicker and warmer. But until then Ill where this baby.

Do you have a favorite coat or one you have been eyeing lately?

My comfort zone

Happy Monday Y’all. Its officially Fall here in the part of Texas I live in. We still have a few low 70 days left but they don’t feel like it with all the wind we have right now. For those days that its chilly but still not cold enough for a sweater, I like to add tights and oxfords under my dresses. I love this dress from J.Crew Factory pairing it with a polka dot top also from J.Crew Factory. Print mixing is going to be a huge obsession for me I have been trying al sort of kinds but haven’t quit gotten it down. I am slowly getting away from my safe place. Right now is the perfect time, I think to start mixing prints its going to be easier with the layering part of it.  If you have any tips and tricks for me let me know.
